OUR TEAM

Brother and Sister, Aimee and Jesse Van Vlack, started van Jango in May of 2024 with a goal of creating a welcoming atmosphere with skilled instructors. Their approach is focused on making sure everyone has the ability to join their studio despite income, skill, race, gender, or sexual orientation.

In Loving Memory

1995 - 2024

Coach Liam was significant in starting and building van Jango Studio. Coach Liam Horton was a member of Queen's Varsity and KWC's wrestling teams since 2022, and was named Queen's Varsity Wrestling Team's 2023 MVP. He was our friend and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

​Daniel is an active amateur Muay Thai fighter training locally in Kingston. He won the B class -71 kg division in the 2024 CMTO tournament and currently holds an amateur record of 6-1 with 10 total fights. He attends Queens University and is studying psychology and philosophy in a joint honours degree. He aspires to pursue fighting professionally following graduation.

Professor Gregg King is a 2nd degree BJJ Black Belt. Professor Gregg owns King Jiu Jitsu and is a Sport Jiu Jitsu competitor, focusing on the Self-Defense aspect of Jiu Jitsu. He is Very Passionate about the Art of Jiu Jitsu and sharing that passion with the students.
